I have a question after you make fondant do you have to put it in the fridge overnight? thanks please help

  5. cookingupastory says:

good question! Robin just wrapped the unused fondant in plastic and placed it into an airtight container. She did not put it into the fridge.

I’ve made fondant from scratch and the recipe I follow asks for leaving the fondant “to set” for anything from an hour to overnight. I can stay in the fridge for up to a month or in the freezer for 3 months. If you buy the fondant (like Satin Ice) you don’t have to store it in the fridge, just make sure you sealed it tight in the container.

no dont put it in the fridge it will go hard use it after a couple of hours or wrap it and put it in a airtight container

  9. cookingupastory says:

okay. We’ll figure something out. I’ll let you know when it’s ready, too.
